Gratitude Visit

I wrote a letter to my youth ministers that are leaving the church that I grew up at and taught me all the years I was in the youth group. Here is the letter.

Dear John and Crysty,
There are not enough thank you's I could say to the both of y'all for how much y'all did for me and the others in the youth group as I grew up. I still remember my first Sunday class I ever had in the youth group. John made me stand up and say my name and who was my favorite super hero and of course I was going to say Batman because I knew who was asking me the question. Some of my favorite memories growing up were from youth group events. From Pine Springs, The Houston Mission trip, or even Guatemala. I am still so thankful that I got to experience Guatemala and it wouldn't have been without John and my Dad basically forcing me to go. I learned so many lessons from that trip that I still think about as I write this letter to y'all.
I want to say thank you for letting me be one of the "guys" to all 3 of your kids. I loved living under them and I loved seeing them grow up. I still remember the handshake that we made with them when I was in middle school. I remember coming up there and hanging out with Eli when school was cancelled for a day because of all the snow that we got. It meant the world to me the first time that you told me that the boys prayed for me. Hearing that put a huge smile on my face.
I also want to say thank you to all the lessons you taught the youth members. I wouldn't be the person I am today without a lot of the lessons that I learned over the years in the youth group. John and Crysty thank you for everything.

Love,
Hayden Clark

I haven't been able to see them because I haven't been able to go home because I have been busy with baseball. They told me they don't want to respond to the letter yet but want to see me in person. So I don't know what they are gonna say but I am ready to see them before the leave for the next stage in their lives.
