Nature Vs. Nurture
The Nature Vs. Nurture debate is about what aspects a child has and if it is inherited from the parents or if they learned it as they grew up. Nature is considered what the child inherits from the parents and nurture is considered by the effect of the external things in life. This debate that has been going for many years was thought to come to a conclusion but recent studies show that almost everything comes from genetics.
Examples:
Intelligence
Examples:
Intelligence
- Nature: Some people believe that the ability to achieve greatness and do well in school comes from the intelligence of ones parent.
- Nurture: Other people believe what the Childs educational background is and how the child is raised influences the Childs intelligence.

Athletic Ability
- Nature: Some people believe that certain genes are inherited by the child to show their athletic ability.
- Nurture: This is believed that athletes train to excel at the sport that they compete in.

Music Ability
- Nature: Like athletic ability it is believed that some children inherit the talent to be musically gifted.
- Nurture: When a child must practice music consistently to be good.
Personality:
- Nature: The way that the child acts they inherit from the parent.
- Nurture: The child acts total different due to the way that they grew up and what they learned from others.
Sexuality:
- Nature: Some people believe that the way someone loves is inherited from their parents.
- Nurture: Other believe that people have a choice.
Final thoughts:
In my opinion it depends on the traits and abilities that the child inherits. While the physical attributes like eye color and hair color come from the parents the personalities of a child come from where they are from and how they are raised. I believe that everyone is different but also they determine themselves on everything they do.

Hayden, this is such an interesting blog post, I really did enjoy reading it and really enjoyed looking at all of the pictures you put with the blog post. I totally see the point you made about the athletic ability that is inherited or just practiced. Some people seem to really have an advantage when it comes to things like their height and hand size that they have.
ReplyDeleteHello Hayden, this blog was very interesting to me. I enjoyed reading this and it reminded me a lot of my blog. I see your point that you made with inheriting athletic ability and some don't have physical features as some have skill.
ReplyDeleteI ,ike how you divided the different traits and gave examples of each. It made it clear to see the differences.
